Anti-Gentrification Double Bill

THE HOMEBODIES (dir. Larry Yust, 1974)

"When a quiet group of pensioners learn that their homes are to be torn down to make way for a block of flats, they decide to take action. What starts as an attempt to discourage the developers soon escalates into wholesale murder of both the developers and the construction workers."

BREAKIN' ELECTRIC BOOGALOOS (dir. Sam Firstenberg, 1984)

"A developer tries to bulldoze a community recreation center. The local breakdancers try to stop it."

  1. You lack the tools for political analysis. Every attempt at political commentary is steeped in banality, brain-choking political correctness and disfunctional representational models that reality itself has rendered obsolete since decades.

I'll cite one example I'm sure you'll find heart-warmingly outrageous: your post on the french Front National. Being the only heavyweight party in Europe actively taking a souverainist position should make it an asset for any anti-imperialist agenda, on purely practical grounds. But no - because age-old, long superceded, and frankly idiotic categorizations such as "right-wing" or, even better, "fascist", plus your ingrained Pavlovian reactions, make the "objective analysis of the objective situation" (to quote Lenin) a pipe dream.

You're a modern cargo cult, or a caveman trying to split the atom with a club.
